Late December back in sixty three. What a very special time for me..what a lady what a night..

Hey guys!! What's up? I've been home from the station for about 30 minutes now. I just started watching that movie "I Robot"..I haven't see it before, but, it looks good!!I typically don't like science fiction movies. But this one doesn't seem cheesy..It's really interesting. Robots gone wild! Not a bad premise.

I'm working on a knit blanket (afghan) for Baby for Christmas. Why on earth would I have my first knitting project be an afghan? I've been working on this thing for almost a year! Hey, I don't put in the man hours that I should. I have a friend who can make a sweater a week! One day...It's so much fun though..Relaxing..You can think and watch tv or whatever while you're knitting. It's amazing. Hey! Did youi know that Rosie Grier knits?? Kool eh?

Anyway guys..I'm gonna go watch this movie..Don't wanna miss too many scenes!!

Hey everybody! What's up? Baby just got home but, we're still both working..I've got "oprah" on right now. She's got Anderson Cooper on and they're talking about poverty in America. That Oprah man..She really does a lot for people. She's kool. Baby loves Oprah..She even subscribes to the Oprah website..Hey! I can't really say anything..I get Martha..LOL!

Hmmm..waiting to exhale is coming on..I liked that movie. I read the book first. The book is a little juicier. Of course. You only have two hours for the flick so...

Damn! This is good that Oprah is highlighting this. Maria Shriver is on with her now. Just so that we can see as a society that we have a lot to do here at home..We really do..I don't really understand why in America we still have single mothers living in cars!! If anything happens in the world billions of dollars flood over so, why not at home? Oh well..

Baby went to visit a friend in the neighborhood real quick..I think I'm in the mood for a little tennis today! It's a beautiful, sunny day, and God knows I was a lazy ass last week..I had made this half assed promise to myself that I would get out and do intense cardio everyday..I have dance on Saturdays yes..We do a minimum of 160 crunches and an intense warm up so, I do get to shake my body! LOL! But, I'm a very athletic girl..Well, I'm not built like a football player by any means LOL!! Let's not get it twisted..But, I love to do physical things. I was a cheerleader my whole life before college and I was on the pom squad (SHUT UP LOL) Baby laughs about that..She's like "what the hell is the Pom Squad?" I guess it does sound funny..See, I cheered in the winter for basketball, and in the fall I was on Band Front..Remember they had silks and Poms? Hey! Sorry if I wasn't out partying and rebelling like Baby..She had so much fun..

I miss hiking any time I want to..I got to do that back home..I love Vegas though!! The strip is awesome and all the lights are sure to brighten any mood..

Damn! Oprah is bummin' me out..This one woman is supporting 3 kids on 223 dollars a week..She said that last Sunday they didn't eat dinner because she had to make the car payment..If she didn't she would lose her car, then her job..She had to made a dreadful choice..Gotta be thankful for what we have eh? No matter where you live, be thankful if you have a roof over your head and food on the table. Damn!!

Oh gawd!! I'm getting sucked in! Oprah just named the new book club selection and I wrote the damned thing down! LOL! Hey!! She's good.."A Million Little Pieces" Hmmm...I'll have to check it out. It would probably be nice if I finished "DaVinci Code" fist. :-) I've been reading that book for like ever! What happened was..I was voraciously reading it when I discovered blogging..Then...boom..I started reading blogs..I've got to finish that book. It's so good. I'm so close to the end too! But, I'm afraid of what's going to happen to the main character. Langdon..I know..Most of you already know..DON'T TELL ME! Teabing!! Geez..I'm gonna read some today..

Anyway..I'm gonna finish Oprah..Check out Nancy Grace and see what's going on in our great nation!! :-) I wonder who wound up missing today..SMH It's like every single day right? Somebody else is missing..Are aliens taking over or what? Are we in the twilight zone? When Baby's away working she gets uneasy about me going outside to water my plants! LOL!! Hey!! She also says that if anybody stole me, they'd bring me back ;-)

I'm gonna go check you guys out for a while!!

I just watched the HBO Documentary "Chernobyl Heart"..Oh my God how sad..It's about the nuclear accident in Chernobyl. There are so many children suffering through life over there..It's unbelievable! There's this condition called "Chernobyl Heart" where there are several holes in the heart. Well, the doctors over there have the know how, but not the cash. So, there was this one couple who were told that their daughter's heart was inoperable. Fortunately, doctors are volunteering to go over and lend a hand and save lives. It was really sad guys! This one baby's brain was growing on the outside of her head. I was like DAMN! And in this one town I think it was called Berula, it's like 99% contaminated!! Teenagers have thyroid cancer by the hundreds..They were able to save the girl whose parents thought that they just had to wait for her to die. It would be so nice if healthcare was more of a right than a privilege..Especially when it comes to the kids..Come on! Don't they at least deserve a shot? I mean kids everywhere! Not just in America..That would be a kool platform for world peace. The kids! Healthcare. My engineer Theresa's son James really has me thinking about this one..I think of her kids as more family..That's how we roll at alltalk...We've all known each other for years and we truly love one another..I love my job! :-)
James is my little buddy I'll tell ya..He's a great 13 year old kid and he has special needs. He's just a little behind developmentally as far as his maturity level and his ability to understand things that other children his age can. But, he is nonetheless one of the sweetest animated people that I have had the pleasure of coming into contact with. When I met James he was jamming to Michael Jackson "Off The Wall"..You guys remember that album..The roller rink is where my mind goes..Hey now!! But anyway..We jammed to "Rock With You"!! He had the radio in the family SUV outside the station and we lost our minds..I love that record! But, I know that everytime I hear that song I'll think of James..Singing and dancing with so much light in his eyes...
Well, James' mom has informed me that James has been sick for quite some time. He was alright way back when I saw him. He was healthy and he was in good spirits! But, unfortunaltely, he developed this mystery illness that has caused him to lose weight excessively, although he loves to eat. (although mom said that he didn't really eat today)..And his red or white blood count is off. His liver is beginning to fail, and he just doesn't feel good. And the kicker is, that he is covered by medicaid and he needs a whole bunch of tests and specialists at this point. And he is being held up by red tape. Beurocracy basically. There is a waiting list or something that she(mom) has to go through. Well, if James' liver is failing now, does he have time to really wait to see these doctors? She is in line to see a geneticist, but that's a hell of a wait. I think that he needs to be seen immediately.. Theresa (James' mom) talked about it a little at the end of the show tonight. She also addressed it on "Coffee with Carrol"..(that's on my network too)..Carrol is wholesome..Not vulgar like me LOL!
But, I'm going to do all I can for my buddy James. Prayer being the most powerful source of help at this time..It would be great if Mecaid called Theresa tomorrow and said that they are ready to cover James. That really pisses me off! What child should ever have to wait for medical attention?

Anyway..I'm gonna get off of that subject before I pontificate a little too much and ruin the rest of my night..

Baby is of course in LaLa Land and I'm awake by the dimlight that hangs over my computer..I love my midnights! This is where it's at..

Good morning guys!! I was having a good time checking my blogs and watching "Real World"..Thanks for your comments. Anville made it her businesss to tell me that writing in caps is rude..Hmmm...Let me just laugh that off..One thing that people will learn with me is that I can't be pushed around..What the hell are people thinking? So many of my blog buddies use caps it's not even funny. Must be new to this..The easiest way to turn me off is for my first encounter with you to include you trying to tell me who and how to be..SMH That doesn't work with me..Come on now..Caps? They don't offend me..I could be really offensive..Be careful what you ask for or complain about..You may just get it..Maybe I should go have my tea.. :-)
